The Friends of the Fall Creek Public Library is a non-profit, tax-deductible organization with members who are proud of the local library and are dedicated to helping the library serve the community.  The Friends functions are numerous: 

  • Ÿ  Maintaining an association of people interested in the library
  • Ÿ  Fundraising for special library needs
  • Ÿ  Overseeing periodic book sales
  • Ÿ  Supporting the policies developed by the Library Board
  • Ÿ  Funding author lectures/special programs
  • Ÿ  Stimulating the use of library resources and services
  • Ÿ  Planning/assisting at special programs and events
  • Ÿ  Supporting library with time, talents, gifts
  • Ÿ  Providing positive publicity and promotion of the library
  • Ÿ  Receiving and encouraging gifts and bequests to the library 

Citizens are invited to join the Friends group to help support the library and promote the joy of reading and lifelong learning at Fall Creek Public Library.  Our membership drive occurs each year with renewals and new memberships due in December for the following year, but new memberships are accepted anytime during the year.  Members can also make a difference in the quality of library services in the community by working with the public or behind the scenes, making a monthly commitment to volunteer, or working on a short-term project. 

Friends members receive a library newsletter telling about upcoming events, special programs, and opportunities at the library.  All members are invited to participate in membership meetings held three times throughout the year, to support the Friends in their special projects, or to get involved by holding one of the executive positions.  We welcome all to our Friends of the Library organization.  For more information about the Friends of the Library call the library at 877-3334.
